Mighty produces global climate awareness campaigns
October 1, 2009

Mighty:Pictures has partnered with Found Object Films to produce several high profile campaigns for climate change.

See You in Copenhagen is a series of documentary short films for the UN COP 15 conference this December. A UN Negotiator, a leader in green technology, a grass roots innovator in China, an indigenous activist in Brazil and other experts each tell their piece of the climate change puzzle.

Director Gabriel London and producer Colleen Hard traveled around the world to capture their stories, and Mighty:Pictures edited. The campaign launched during Climate Week NYC.

Then, on September 21, a global Wake-Up Call went out. At over 2600 events in 135 countries, countless members of Avaaz joined together to send a message on climate change to leaders across the globe. 10,000 pictures and 600 videos were posted online by members themselves, and Mighty:Pictures worked around the clock, crafting a :30 second spot telling their story. The piece was unveiled the very next day at the premiere of the Age of Stupid for a worldwide audience of over 1 million people. Emmy award-winner Josh Glaser edited for Mighty. An extended version of Wake-Up Call, featuring even more creative demonstrations and reactions from the world media was translated into four different languages and hit the web later in the week.
